Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I was wondering how people were handling how kids were going to take pictures? Are all kids taking pictures in your class? I have 18 kids and one camera...do you think I should get kids to use cameras from home? That seems kind of risky...any suggestions?

A: I am going to ask if any families would be willing to share cameras. Sometimes, parents have old cameras at home that would work. Asking co-workers might work, too. If you end up with one camera, I might try this:

Divide your students in groups of three.

Give each group five minutes to take as many pictures as they want.

While the other groups are waiting, they could explore the area for shots they wish to take or bring paper to sketch.

You could also ask students to take pictures at home and e-mail or bring them in on USB drives.
